We have an online Membership Form which you can find below.

If you want to join us for the first time, or are a current member wanting to renew, we ask that you fill in all the boxes where applicable.

 

Benefits of membership

As a member of the Guardians of Pāuatahanui Inlet:

      • You will belong to a group of people who value the Inlet and want to ensure that it is well cared for;
      • You can contribute to a community voice that influences local and regional council decisions on issues concerning the Inlet environment;
      • You can help in a practical way by taking part in events like:
          • the annual Inlet Clean-up;
          • the three-yearly Cockle Survey;
          • restoration planting and maintenance;
          • pest control;
      • You can be the Inlet’s ‘eyes and ears’, looking out for inappropriate activity or pollution events and reporting it to Greater Wellington, as well as to our committee so we can follow up and make sure action has been taken:

      • You would also be welcome as part of any educational initiatives we carry out with local schools and community education groups;

Subscriptions

Membership subscription fees are very affordable. You’ll pay only $12 a year for an individual and $15 a year for a family. You can, instead, take out a 5-year subscription for $50 an individual and $60 a family.

 

Incorporated Society Rules

Please note that applications for membership need to meet the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 which requires all members of the society to explicitly consent to being a member. Therefore, applications for family membership must include all names in the family and at least one email address. Our form below allows for this.

Pay your subscription at a bank branch, or on line, into our Westpac bank account. Name: Guardians of Pauatahanui Inlet; A/c No. 03-1533-0009387-00. When on line, use the ‘Particulars’, 'Code' and ‘Reference’ columns to write your surname, initials and the period of your sub (1-yr or 5-yr). Please enter these details above.
